frogtalk media - hopping fresh ideas

October 22, 2009 - Wow! Such an outpouring of love and appreciation from our small but dedicated audience! Thanks to all of you who came out to support our up-and-coming generation of movie-makers! Your cash contributions to the food bank came out to $33 in addition to many food items!

Our youngest entrant, Sebastian Niedziela received an Outstanding Achievement in Stop Motion Animation Award for his short: "Evolution". What a fantastic job! We'll try to get an online version up so everyone has the chance to see this awesome work.

Next year, we would like to change some things, making this festival even more fabulous:

  • awards !
  • prizes !
  • scholarships !
  • sponsors !
  • press coverage !
  • gala evening wear !
  • more ideas...?
Thanks to Gulf Islands Film & Television School for their support, Acoustic Planet Music, Michael Levy and The Fritz Theatre Staff, and Shelley Mahoney of Salt Spring Arts Academy.

If you would like to help out (it's fun!) or hear about future movie happenings, please e-mail Cindy.
